Who we are!

  • Saahil Rao, Speaker of the Senate

    Saahil is a junior in the School of Foreign Services from Bethesda, Maryland and the Speaker of the Senate. He’s passionate about campus fun, hoping to address issues such as code of conduct changes, party shutdown policy, and Vil A.

  • Zadie Weaver, Vice Speaker of the Senate

    Zadie Weaver is a senator for the Class of 2028 from Mendham, New Jersey. Her current policy priorities are increasing club funding and creating an endowment for campus-wide social events. She is double majoring in Government and Econ in the College.

  • Cameran Lane, Policy and Advocacy Chair

    Cameran Lane is from Greene County, North Carolina and studies Government in the College of Arts and Sciences. He was elected to represent the class of 2028 in November of freshman year and remains committed to making progress on laundry, dining, and transparency.

  • Han Li, Finance and Appropriations Chair

    Han is a junior studying Public Policy and Government. Hailing from New Jersey, he spends his time in the Senate serving as the Chair of Finance and Appropriations. His main policy fields include the Student Activity Fee, the Capitol Campus, and the quality and efficiency of campus dining.

  • Nico Santiago, Ethics and Oversight Chair

    Nico is an At-Large Senator and student-athlete, representing Georgetown on the Swim and Dive team.

  • Tina Solki, Resources, Accessibility, and Inclusion Chair

    Tina is a Class of 2026 Senator in the SFS. She is the former chair of the Finance and Appropriations Comittee.

  • Meriam Ahmad, Class of 2026 Senator

    Meriam is a senior from San Jose, California, and is excited to continue chairing the Dining Committee, addressing speech & expression issues, and advocating for a better printing system.

  • Christian Spadini, Class of 2026 Senator

    Originally from Westchester, New York, Christian is proud to represent the class of 2026. He is an Economics major with a Music/Theology double minor. Outside of GUSA, he is active in GCI, Circolo Italiano, and the Honor Council. His main policy priorities include campus beautification and increasing meal plan flexibility for upperclassmen.

  • James Beit, Class of 2026 Senator

    James is a senior in the MSB and the former President of the Philonomosian Society, a campus debate club. He is from Florida and passionate about MSAB reform.

  • Lex Njomin, Class of 2027 Senator

    Lex is a Class of 2027 Senator in the SFS, currently serving as a FinApp Liaison. Lex is also the Treasurer of AASA and a member of The Corp’s External Board.

  • Asha Gudipaty, Policy and Advocacy Vice Chair

    Asha is from Plano, Texas and is majoring in public policy. Asha is interested in legislation decreasing students' financial burdens, increasing administrative transparency, and improving GUSA's policy implementation strategies. As a Spring 2025 transfer student, she is also passionate about easing academic and housing limitations for her community.

  • Roan Bedoian, Social Media Vice Chair

    Roan (she/her) is a Senator for the Class of 2028 from San Francisco, CA. She is majoring in American Studies with minors in Sociology and Women’s & Gender Studies. Roan is focused on creating equitable policies and improving resource accessibility. Outside of GUSA, Roan serves on the board of the Georgetown University College Democrats, works at Vital Vittles, and enjoys going to concerts.

  • Nikki Jiang, Social Media Chair

    Nikki is a class of 2028 senator from Long Island, New York majoring in Global Health. Serving on the FinApp committee, she is current Chair of the Diversity fund, This session, she hopes to work on expanding the elective pass/fail policy to language courses and continuing the work of promoting diverse events on campus. As social media chair she hopes to use the Instagram to increase engagement with the student body.

  • Tyler Chase, Finance and Appropriations Vice Chair

    Tyler Chase, a senator for the Class of 2028, studies International Politics in the School of Foreign Service. From Arlington, Virginia, he has served in GUSA since fall 2024 and is Vice-Chair of the FinApp Committee, working to equitably distribute over a million dollars in funds. He also is a leader in the Dining Committee, advocating for accessible, reliable campus dining. Beyond GUSA, Tyler is in Blue and Gray, volunteers with Hoya Taxa, and enjoys Leo’s.

  • Erik Hsu, Class of 2027

    Erik Hsu is a Senator for the Class of 2028. He is from Taipei, Taiwan and studies Economics and Government in the College of Arts and Sciences. Erik is focused on improving campus spaces: ensuring students have access to environments that are welcoming, functional, and reflective of the community’s needs. Outside of GUSA, he competes on the Georgetown Mock Trial team and plays poker.

  • Youngsung Sim, At-Large Senator

    Youngsung is a junior in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics and double-minoring in Government and Law, Justice & Society. Over the last two year, Youngsung has worked to improve internal communication and enhance student life as the Subcommittee Chair for Common Spaces. Youngsung is also the Business Manager for The Georgetown Chimes, a Student Leader in Campus Outreach, and a staff member at the Cawley Career Center.

  • Sienna Lipton, Class of 2027 Senator

    Sienna is a Junior studying Justice and Peace Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, and History. Outside of GUSA, she plays on the frisbee B-team (Go Biddies!), and serves as an organizer for both BlueFuture and Grassroots HQ, as well as for Palestinian rights. On the rare occasion that she has free time, Sienna is an enjoyer of reality-tv (RuPaul’s drag race and Survivor mostly), and an enthusiastic baker of gluten-free goods, especially banana bread.

  • Ellen Carter, Class of 2026 Senator

    Ellen is a Class of 2026 Senator in the SFS, currently serving as a Financial Appropriations Liaison.

  • Rhea Iyer, Class of 2026 Senator

    Rhea is a Class of 2026 Senator in the College, currently serving as a Financial Appropriations Liason.

  • Jacob Intrator, Outreach Chair

    Jacob is a Class of 2027 Senator in the College, currently also serving as Ethics and Oversight Vice Chair.

  • Sahil Sud, Executive Officer

    Sahil is a junior in the SFS, currently serving as the Senate Executive Officer. He was formerly an elected Class of 2027 Senator, serving as PAC Chair.
