What is GUSA?

The Georgetown University Student Association (GUSA) is the official undergraduate student government and union — an advocacy organization aimed at improving the student experience at Georgetown.

We believe that students have a right and a responsibility to play a role in the governance of Georgetown. And we take that responsibility seriously. Since 1984, we have been serving as tireless advocates for undergraduate students on the Hilltop. As a diverse group of student representatives, we are recognized by the University and community partners as the official voice of undergraduates.

Our mission is to resolve common student problems, fight for the inclusion of student interests in University affairs, and ensure that student life at Georgetown is the best it can be.
