Freshman Class Committee
The Class Committees promote class unity by planning events to bring members of your class together! They plan fun casual, academic, or community service events so everyone can meet and get to know the people you’ll live, learn, and grow with during your years at Georgetown. In the past, Class Committees have planned events like study breaks, t-shirt sales, a semiformal dance, fundraisers, and events during homecoming. By joining your Class Committee, you can help forge a sense of community at Georgetown and make it your own!
Apply to be an officer!
The chair and vice-chair of the Class Committee oversee and delegate the responsibilities of planning, marketing, and executing each event to their committee. They create a calendar of programs for the semester, organize their committee members into subcommittees, schedule meetings, communicate with their advisor, and come up with fun and creative ways to promote class unity. The secretary takes and sends out meeting notes, keeps track of attendance, and maintains all official and unofficial documents. The treasurer maintains all financial records, oversees the use of money in accordance with the budget, works with your SAC advisor to fund events, and places all money into the university account.
Fill out the application to become an officer here. Return it by emailing gusaFCC2013@gmail.com or place it in the envelope on the Georgetown University Student Association office door (1608 Leavey Center, just outside Sellinger Lounge) by 5:00pm on Friday September 4th, 2009.
