GUSA, in partnership with the Career Education Center, is offering an eight-week LSAT familiarization course. The course will be taught by Mr. Tom Xosa, founder of lsat179.com and local LSAT tutor. The course will be provided for at $50.00 and is designed at providing an opportunity to those who may not otherwise be able to afford the high priced prep classes. This class will acclimate students to the LSAT, give them tips and strategies for each section, as well as allow students to take a fully proctored practice LSAT at the end of the class. In addition students will be able to complete interactive homework online using official LSAC questions. If you are interested in applying for this incredible opportunity, please go here.

Click here to learn more about Tom Xosa and his company, About the Tutor.

LSAT Classes Spring 2010 (Deadline to apply is Friday, April 16th):

This spring LSAT familiarization classes will last for three and a half weeks and run from April 21st through May 13th. The accepted applicants will be split into two groups to ensure each class is sufficiently small. Each group will have sessions twice a week, either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. ALL sessions will meet at 8 PM and last two hours. The course is made up of six content classes and one practice exam held on the final (7th) session. The exact dates are shown below. While we acknowledge that some of these dates fall in the exam period, this is the only time these classes can be offered to ensure that those who are preparing to take the June 5th LSAT are ready. Thank you for your interest and good luck.

Group 1

Session 1: 4/21 (Wednesday)

The Georgetown University Student Association (GUSA) Summer Fellows Program provides Georgetown undergraduates qualifying for need-based financial aid with free housing and leadership training for 10 weeks over the summer so that they may pursue an unpaid internship or other unpaid work in the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a university in the Catholic and Jesuit tradition, Georgetown encourages its students not simply to study in the classroom, but also engage with, and draw from the outside world. The GUSA Summer Fellows program facilitates this interaction by providing its members with the opportunity to participate in an internship that they otherwise may not be able to pursue. By taking applications from all qualified students, without regard to major or career interest, this program looks to fill an opportunity gap on campus and set forth a unified community of leaders who embody the aspiration of professional growth within themselves and who intend to foster a similar road to success for the fellows that follow.

Both applications and recommendations should be sent in online to GUSASummerFellows@gmail.com and can be sent separately.

You can access the forms here.

Hello and welcome to the Georgetown University Student Association (GUSA) website. Here, you can find out the latest news and information regarding student government at Georgetown.

GUSA serves as the voice of the undergraduate populace, and it affects nearly all aspects of student life. We run initiatives such as GUSA Summer Fellows, provide social events via class committees, and help determine funding for student groups through the Finance and Appropriations Committee. The two main bodies of GUSA, the Executive and the Senate, operate both independently and jointly to enhance the student experience.

The links on your right will provide you with most of the information you need, but if you would like to contact us, be sure to email gusapresident@georgetown.edu or stop by 1608 Leavey Center. We look forward to hearing from you.
